Shame, a British alternative rock band from London, was formed in 2014 by Charlie Steen (vocals), Sean Coyle-Smith and Eddie Green (guitars), Josh Finerty (bass), and Charlie Forbes (drums). The group began their career while still in high school, rehearsing at the Queen's Head pub in Brixton. Their early performances led to notable appearances such as the Pitchfork Music Festival in Paris in 2016. Shame released their first single "The Lick / Gold Hole" that same year on Fnord Communications. In January 2018, they published Songs of Praise, their debut album via Dead Oceans, reaching Number 32 on the UK Albums Chart. The band's second album, Drunk Tank Pink, was produced in France by James Ford and released in January 2021, peaking at Number eight in the UK. Their third album, Food for Worms, was published in February 2023, followed by their fourth album, Cutthroat, released in September 2025.
