Biography
British indie rock and post-punk band from the Isle of Wight formed in 2019, Wet Leg consists of musicians Rhian Teasdale (vocals and rhythm guitar) and Hester Chambers (guitar and backing vocals). The two friends, who met at college, kick off their adventure with the single "Chaise Longue", which climbs to #74 in the UK charts in 2021 and even makes it into the US alternative music charts (#15). It appears alongside other tracks such as "Wet Dream", "Too Late Now", "Ur Mum" and "Angelica" on the duo's debut album, soberly entitled Wet Leg, released in 2022. It immediately reached number one in the UK and Australia, as well as number 14 in the US charts. Rewarded with two Brit Awards and Grammy Awards for Best Alternative Performance for "Chaise Longue" and Best Alternative Album, the duo conclude a world tour at Coachella and remix Depeche Mode's "Wagging Tongue", before working in the studio on their second album Moisturizer (2025), preceded by the single "Catch These Fists".
