Biography

The Prophecy 23 was founded in 2002 in Heilbronn, Germany. The band is a "fresh metal" formation that combines elements of thrash metal, death metal and punk rock. In 2002, founding members Hannes Klopprogge (vocals, electric guitar), Sven Piepenburg (electric guitar), Florian Sanden (drums), Dennis Lidak (electric guitar) and Phileas Hohlweck (electric bass) start their first own projects. The project quickly developed into a formative formation in the German metal underground and today belongs to the "Fresh Metal" style, which is characterized by ironic, humorous lyrics and hard but groovy music. The band's repertoire includes hard, fast thrash metal with groovy passages, death metal elements and occasional hardcore interludes. Strange influences such as surf rock or blues appear time and again in humorous titles such as Ice Road Trucker vs. the Sun or Surf Nazis Must Die. Famous albums include No Future for the Dead (2005), ... To the Pit (2010), Green Machine Laser Beam (2012), Untrue Like a Boss (2014), Live Mosh Action (2017) and most recently Fresh Metal (2020, number 67 in Germany). Further successful releases have followed to date: Mosh O'Clock (number 44 in Germany) and the single Mosh O'Clock (2025) were released in 2025.
