Biography

Formed in 1984 in Lille (Nord), Loudblast is the founding band of French death metal along with Massacra. Despite a string of concerts across France and Europe, the band received little support from Fnac Musique, their original label. Discographic success was not forthcoming, and the band broke up in 1999. Re-formed in 2002, Loudblast saw Planet Pandemonium (2004) finally break through in terms of sales. Frozen Moments Between Life and Death in 2011 confirms Loudblast's pre-eminent place in the French metal world. Burial Ground in 2014 keeps the band on track.
