Biography

Angelus Apatrida is a Spanish thrash metal band from Albacete, formed in March 2000. The group initially released a demo-CD titled Lost in the Realms of Orchinodaemon in 2001, which showcased a style close to European power metal. Following the departure of singer Alberto Gayoso and drummer Alberto Izquierdo, the remaining members recruited drummer Victor Valera, while Guillermo Izquierdo became the guitarist and vocalist. After shifting toward a heavier thrash metal sound, the band released the promotional EP Unknown Human Being in 2003, followed by its debut studio album, Evil Unleashed, in March 2006. The group gained traction through performances at festivals such as Viña Rock and Thrash Attack Fest. Their second album, Give 'Em War, was published in September 2007. After signing with Century Media Records, they released Clockwork (2010), which reached number 44 on the Spanish chart and featured the single “Blast Off”. Their subsequent albums include The Call, released on April 24, 2012, which reached number 14 in Spain, Hidden Evolution (2015), Cabaret de la Guillotine (2018), Angelus Apatrida (2021), and Aftermath (2023).
