Biography

Crisix, a thrash metal band from Igualada, Spain, was formed in February 2008 by Javi Carrión and Marc Torras. Initially known as Crysys, the group completed its lineup with guitarists Marc Busqué and Albert Requena, and vocalist Juli Baz. Their breakthrough came in 2009 when they won the W:O:A Metal Battle Spain competition, securing a contract with Wacken Records for their debut album The Menace, released in 2011. The band's name was changed to Crisix due to legal issues with the video game Crysis. Notable releases include From Blue to Black (2016), Against the Odds (2018), and Full HD (2022). The band announced an indefinite hiatus starting in December 2024 after concluding tours in Latin America and France.
