Biography
The Menzingers formed in Scranton, Pennsylvania, in 2006, with a lineup comprising guitarists and vocalists Greg Barnett and Tom May, bassist Eric Keen, and drummer Joe Godino. The American punk rock band issued a self-titled demo that year before signing with Go-Kart Records and releasing its debut studio album, A Lesson in the Abuse of Information Technology, in 2007. Its second album, Chamberlain Waits, followed through Red Scare Records in 2010. After joining Epitaph Records in 2011, The Menzingers released On the Impossible Past in 2012, followed by Rented World in 2014 and After the Party in 2017. The group continued with Hello Exile in 2019 and recorded the acoustic reinterpretation From Exile remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic, releasing it in 2020. Its seventh studio album, Some of It Was True, arrived on October 13, 2023, followed by a deluxe edition featuring two additional songs in 2024. The Menzingers returned in February 2026 with âNobodyâs Heroes,â their first new recording in three years. âChance Encountersâ and âBetter Angelsâ followed ahead of the bandâs eighth studio album, Everything I Ever Saw, which was released through Epitaph on July 17, 2026. Produced and engineered by longtime collaborator Will Yip, the album was recorded at Memory Music Studios in late 2025.
