Biography
The Last Bison, an American indie folk band, formed in Chesapeake, Virginia, and became active in 2010. Initially known as Bison, they released their debut album Quill independently in September 2011, garnering critical acclaim for its complex arrangements and vocal harmonies. The band's first single, "Switzerland", from Quill received significant airplay on WROX-FM in Norfolk, Virginia. In 2012, they signed with Universal Republic Records and released the EPs Inheritance and Sleigh Ride. After parting ways with the label in February 2014, The Last Bison continued independently, releasing their third full-length album VA in September 2014. They have performed at notable venues such as the Norva Theatre in Norfolk and collaborated with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra.
