Biography

Kevin Kinney, born March 12, 1961, is an American vocalist and guitarist from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In 1985, after moving to Atlanta, Georgia, Kinney formed the rock band Drivin N Cryin with bassist Tim Nielsen and drummer Paul Lenz. The band's breakthrough came with the album Fly Me Courageous (1991), whose title track brought them national attention on mainstream rock radio. As a solo artist, Kinney released the folk rock album MacDougal Blues in 1990 with members of R.E.M., followed by Down Out Law (1994). In 2002, he formed the Sun Tangled Angel Revival project to release Americana and roots rock music.
