Biography

Alexander "Sandy" Bull, born on February 25, 1941 in New York City, was an American folk musician and composer. After studying music at Boston University, he began performing in Greenwich Village in the early 1960s. He played a finger‑picking style that influenced peers like John Fahey. His recordings include Fantasias for Guitar and Banjo (1963), Inventions (1965), E Pluribus Unum (1969), and Demolition Derby (1972). He later issued Jukebox School of Music (1988), Vehicles (1991), and Steel Tears (1996). He died from lung cancer on April  11, 2001.
