Biography
Crosby and Nash, an American musical duo consisting of David Crosby and Graham Nash, began their collaborative journey in 1970 following the breakup of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young after the success of Déjà Vu. Their first album, Graham Nash / David Crosby, was released in 1972 and reached number 4 on the Billboard 200. The duo toured acoustically in the autumn of 1971, with one night from this tour later released as Another Stoney Evening in 1998. They continued to record and tour throughout the 1970s, issuing three more albums: Wind On The Water (1975), which peaked at number 6 on the charts and received a gold certification from the RIAA; Whistling Down The Wire (1976); and Crosby-Nash Live (1977). In addition to their solo endeavors, Crosby and Nash contributed backing vocals to various albums by associates in the California rock scene. After the reformation of Crosby, Stills & Nash in 1977, Crosby and Nash signed with ABC Records and continued to play sporadic concerts through the 2010s, issuing another studio album, Crosby & Nash, in 2004 and going on an extended concert tour in 2011. Throughout their career, Crosby and Nash maintained a separate identity from the larger aggregate of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young.
