Biography

The Aggrolites, formed in Los Angeles, California in 2002, are renowned for their unique blend of reggae and ska, which they term "Dirty Reggae." This fusion encompasses elements of 1960s soul, funk, and early reggae. The band originally came together as a backing group for reggae icon Derrick Morgan, leading to their establishment as a permanent entity. Their lineup features Jesse Wagner (vocals, lead guitar), Roger Rivas (piano, organ), Ricky Chacon (rhythm guitar), Alex McKenzie (drums), and Jeff Roffredo (bass guitar). Notable albums include their 2003 debut Dirty Reggae, The Aggrolites (2006), Reggae Hit L.A. (2007), which received the IGN award for Best Reggae Album of 2007, IV (2009), Rugged Road (2011), and Reggae Now! (2019).
