Biography

Mustard Plug is an American ska punk band from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Formed in 1991 by Dave Kirchgessner and Colin Clive after attending a Special Beat show, the band quickly established itself in the local scene and developed its sound at a time when there was virtually no ska scene in Grand Rapids. Their early releases included Skapocalypse Now! (1992) and Big Daddy Multitude (1993), followed by Evildoers Beware! (1997). The band went on to release Pray for Mojo (1999), Yellow #5 (2002), In Black And White (2007), Can’t Contain It (2014), and Where Did All My Friends Go? (2023) on Bad Time Records. Mustard Plug has toured extensively across the United States, Europe, Japan, and South America, including appearances on the Vans Warped Tour and the Ska Against Racism Tour.
