Biography

The Toasters, an American ska band, were formed in 1981 by Robert Hingley. Their first live show was supporting Bad Brains at A7 in 1981. The Toasters self-released their debut single "Beat Up" in 1984. After failing to secure a label for their debut EP, Hingley founded Moon Ska Records. Their first full-length album, Skaboom!, was released in 1987. Notable albums include Thrill Me Up (1988), New York Fever (1992), and One More Bullet (2007). Their song "Two-Tone Army" served as the theme for Nickelodeon's show KaBlam!. The band celebrated their 25th anniversary in 2007.
