Austrian musical duo Teya & Salena rose to fame in 2023 after finishing fifteenth place in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 with the song âWho the Hell Is Edgar?" Teodora Spiric (born in Vienna on 12 April 2000), aka Teya, and Salena-Maria Edbauer (born in Leoben on 11 March 1998) aka Salena, originally assembled as a duo in 2021 after meeting during the fifth season of the ÃRF show, Starmania. Salena had previously participated in the 4th series of The Voice of Germany but was voted off before the live rounds while she also tried to represent Austria in 2018 with "Behind the Waterfall." Meanwhile, Teya had also taken her chances in the spotlight and finished in 10th place in the Serbian national final in 2020 under the name Thea Devy with the song "Sudnji dan." In 2023, the duo were chosen to represent Austria in the Eurovision Song Contest 2023 in Liverpool with their Edgar Allen Poe satire "Who the Hell is Edgar?"
