Biography

Haiducii was born on January 14, 1977 in Craiova, Romania. Her real name is Paula Mitrache. She is a Romanian singer in the dance-pop and Eurodance genres. She came to international attention in 2004, when Paula Mitrache released the single "Dragostea din tei" under the stage name Haiducii. The song is a cover version of the song of the same name by the Moldovan group O-Zone. The reinterpretation quickly became a Europe-wide club and radio hit. The single reaches high chart positions in several countries, including top 10 positions in Germany, Austria, Italy and Scandinavia. The debut album Stereo Love is released in 2004. Stylistically, the album moves between Eurodance, dance-pop and electronic pop. In addition to "Dragostea din tei", it contains other singles such as "I Need a Boyfriend".
