Biography

Real name Annerley Emma Gordon, British singer Ann Lee was born in Sheffield on November 12, 1967. She began her career in Italy, where she produced several singles for the A-Beat-C label under the names Annerley Gordon and Annalise. Credited with composing Corona's 1993 dance hit "The Rhythm of the Night", she changed her pseudonym to Ann Lee and recorded her biggest hit, "2 Times" (1998), which became an international hit the following year, ranking #2 in the UK, #5 in Italy and Germany, #1 in Belgium (Flanders) and Denmark, and #9 in France. Before being chosen as the theme song for the film Head Over Heels(Folles de lui, 2001), "2 Times" was included on the album Dreams released in 1999, which included Ann Lee's two other hits, "Voices" (no. 27 in the UK) and "Ring My Bell" (no. 17 in Spain). Back in 2007 after several unplugged singles, Ann Lee released the album So Alive, followed by "2 People". She continues her career on stage.
