Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on February 10, 1991, Valerie Broussard is a singer-songwriter best known for the song âTrouble,â which has been closely associated with the Six of Crowns book series by Leigh Bardugo. Interested in music and theater at a young age, she moved to London, England at the age of 18, where she discovered her love for classical opera and writing her own songs. She began releasing a series of digital singles including 2016âs âA Little Wickedâ and âTrouble.â The following year, the latter single was used in a fan video inspired by author Leigh Bardugoâs Six of Crows books. The video went viral amongst Bardugoâs fanbase and the song is now closely associated with the authorâs works.
