Biography

Ten Foot Pole, originally known as Scared Straight, was an American punk rock band formed in 1983 in Simi Valley, California. The group initially consisted of Scott Radinsky, Mike Thompson, Gary Gallanes, and Dennis Jagard. In the 1990s, they changed their name to Ten Foot Pole to distance themselves from the "straight-edge" reputation associated with Scared Straight. Under their new moniker, they released Swill (1993) and Rev (1994). Following Radinsky's departure due to his baseball career, Dennis Jagard took over lead vocals. The band continued to release albums such as Unleashed, Insider, Bad Mother Trucker, and Subliminable Messages, touring extensively in the US, Canada, and Europe. After a hiatus, Ten Foot Pole returned with new studio albums Setlist in 2017 and Escalating Quickly in 2019.
