Biography

88 Fingers Louie is an American punk rock band from Chicago, Illinois. Formed in 1993 by vocalist Denis Buckley, guitarist Dan Wleklinski, bassist Joe Principe and drummer Dom Vallone, the band released the single "Happy Anniversary" on Go Deaf Records that same year. They signed to Fat Wreck Chords and released two more singles, "Go Away!" (1993) and "Wanted" (1994), followed by the EP Totin' 40's & Fuckin' Shit Up in 1995. After releasing their debut album Behind Bars (1995), internal tensions led to the band's first disbandment in late 1996. They reunited briefly in 1998, releasing Back on the Streets (1998). The band disbanded again in 1999 after due to further internal conflicts. In 2009, 88 Fingers Louie reunited for two sold-out shows and continued touring. In 2013, Nat Wright joined as bassist and embarked on a few small tours in 2016. The band released Thank You for Being a Friend, in 2017.
