Static Thought was an American punk rock band from Oakland, California, formed in 2000 by Travis Davant, Eric Urbach, and Charlie Vincent. The group self-released the EP Were Dumb in 2004. After Vincent left in 2003, Mike Leon joined the band. Static Thought released the EP Outta Control in 2005. Daniel Garcia subsequently replaced Vincent on rhythm guitar.In 2006, the group signed with Hellcat Records and toured with Intro5pect. They released the debut album In the Trenches in 2007. Johaan Hill replaced Leon in 2007. The band toured North America and released the split EP From the Bay to LA and the album The Motive for Movement in 2008. After Davant was replaced by Drew Cueva in 2009, the group released a split EP with Wartortle (2010) and performed at the Reading and Leeds Festivals. Their final album, Static Thought, appeared in 2012. Static Thought became inactive in 2012.
