Scottish house music production duo Silicone Soul, comprising Graeme Reedie and Craig Morrison, was formed in 1996. The duo met as teenagers in Milngavie, Scotland, near Glasgow, where they initially explored rock music by forming the short-lived band Dead City Radio. Their transition to electronic music was influenced by a Primal Scream concert, leading them to start mixing and producing their own tracks. In 1996, Silicone Soul began regularly mixing at the Jungle Palace club in Inverness. They founded Depth Perception Records with Peter Tagg and Chris Hodgins, releasing early titles such as "Roy Is The Teacher" and "Seed/Yoni". Their breakthrough came with the signing to Soma Records in 1997, where they released notable EPs like "Climbing Walls", "All Nite Long", and "Right On 4 Tha Darkness", which became their first international success. In 2003, Silicone Soul established Darkroom Dubs, an independent label promoting underground electronic music. Their discography includes albums such as A Soul Thing (2000), Staring Into Space (2005), and Save Our Souls (2006). Notable singles include "Les Nocturnes" (2004) and "The Pact" (2006).
