Biography

A soul and gospel group, Sensere was formed in Miami in 2003, under the aegis of multi-instrumentalist, producer and singer James Wright. Drawing on his experience, he formed a group of ten musicians and singers, which he christened Sensere. Already known on the circuit for their live performances, the band recorded their debut album The Soul of Future Worship, Vol. 1 in 2011, followed by a national tour and radio and TV appearances. The album is notably propelled by the track "Got Jesus", programmed on MTV. Appearing on stage at the Jazz in the Gardens festival in Florida, Sensere returned to the studio to work on his second album Kingdom Therapy, released in 2015. With a DVD edition featuring a concert by the group, it reached number 13 in the gospel charts. Inspired by the group Commisioned, Sensere covers the hit "Tis So Sweet" in 2017, followed by the R&B ballad "Baby" with Paula Champion in 2018. This year also sees the release of the single "Win", which proves a hit ranked at number 29 on the Gospel Airplay charts. In 2019 follows the album God, Family, The Band Vol. 1, featuring collaborations with Anesha Birchett and Lisa Knowles. Further singles follow until the 2024 hit, "That's God LaLaLa", ranked #30 in the Gospel Airplay charts.
