Biography

The Group Fire is a contemporary gospel vocal quartet featuring brothers Terelle and Juwan Cooper and Tajohn and Al-Shamir Hill. Hailing from Newark, New Jersey, they were signed in 2009 by Jet Records, whose owner is none other than the grandfather of the two Cooper brothers. The band, which has already proven itself in public, is renowned for its vocal unity, and benefits from the support of producer and composer Steve Cooper, father of Terelle and Juwan Cooper, who provides them with the necessary material for their songs. As early as 2012, The Groupe Fire scored a hit with the album It Takes a Village, while the members were still students. Four years later, the second album Join the Praise Party was nominated for a Stellar Award, and in 2019, the track "Again" entered Billboard's Airplay Gospel charts at No. 17. A year later, it's the turn of "More Than Friends", before the release of the album Heal the Land in 2022. In 2024, The Group Fire returned to the charts with "About Last Night".
