Biography

Catch 22, an American ska punk band from East Brunswick Township, New Jersey, was formed in 1996 by guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter Tomas Kalnoky. The original lineup included drummer Chris Greer, trumpeter Kevin Gunther, bassist Jason Scharenguivel, saxophonist Ryan Eldred, and trombonist Todd Seaman. After releasing a self-produced demo tape, Rules of the Game, in 1997, Catch 22 signed to Victory Records and produced their first studio album, Keasbey Nights, in 1998. Kalnoky left the band shortly thereafter, leading to several lineup changes. Notable releases include Alone in a Crowd (2000), Washed Up and Through the Ringer (2001), and Permanent Revolution (2006). Catch 22 toured extensively with acts such as Mustard Plug and Reel Big Fish.
