Rophnan Nuri Muzeyin, known mononymously as Rophnan, and born on June 22, 1990, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, is a DJ, singer-songwriter, and record producer. He began his music career at age 16 with a mixtape that introduced him to the Ethiopian club scene. His remix of Mahmoud Ahmed's "Bemin Sebeb Litash" showcased his ability to blend traditional melodies with electronic anthems. In 2018, Rophnan released his debut album Reflection, the first electronic music LP in Ethiopia, which became the most played album of the year and won three Leza Awards, including Album of the Year. He was featured on Major Lazer's Africa to the World compilation with the track "Get to Work". In 2019, he embarked on the My Generation national tour and was named in Forbes Africa's 30 under 30 list.
