Punchline is an American rock band formed in 1998. The original lineup consisted of Steve Soboslai, Chris Fafalios, and PJ Caruso. Their debut album, How to Get Kicked Out of the Mall (1998), included a blend of pop punk and ska. In 1999, Paul Menotiades joined the group as a guitarist and vocalist, contributing to the EP Major Motion Picture (2001). The band signed with Fueled by Ramen in 2003 and released the album Action (2004). Greg Wood replaced Menotiades in 2005. In 2006, Punchline released the album 37 Everywhere, which featured guest vocals from Anthony Raneri of Bayside and Vinnie Caruana of I Am the Avalanche. The band left their label in 2008 to form the independent label Modern Short Stories and released the album Just Say Yes (2008). Their recordings include the EP So Nice to Meet You (2012), which reached Number 1 in the rock category on the iTunes charts. Punchline released the albums Thrilled (2015), LION (2018), and Somewhere to Land (2025).
