Biography

Rufio was an American rock band from Rancho Cucamonga, California, formed in 2000. The group took their name from the character Rufio in the film Hook. Their debut album, Perhaps, I Suppose..., was released in June 2001 on The Militia Group label. In November of that year, they signed to Nitro Records and released their self-titled EP in February 2003. Their second album, MCMLXXXV, followed in June 2003, produced by Nick Raskulinecz. Rufio toured extensively, supporting acts like The Ataris and Less Than Jake, and played on the Warped Tour in 2003. In January 2006, Jon Berry and Mike Jimenez left the band due to creative differences, leading to their eventual disbandment. Rufio's final studio album, Anybody Out There, was released post-split in 2010.
