Biography
The Movielife formed in Long Island, Newâ¯York, in 1997 and comprises vocalist Vinnieâ¯Caruana, guitarist Brandonâ¯Reilly, and drummer Brettâ¯Romnes, among early members. Their debut demo, Red Demo, attracted Fadeaway Records, leading to the release of Itâs Go Time in Septemberâ¯1999, followed by the single "SelfâDestruct". In 2000, the band released Thisâ¯Timeâ¯Nextâ¯Year through Revelation Records, and the EP Hasâ¯Aâ¯Gamblingâ¯Problem appeared in Novemberâ¯2001. The 2003 album Fortyâ¯Hourâ¯Trainâ¯Backâ¯Toâ¯Penn peaked at numberâ¯164 on the Billboardâ¯200. After extensive touring-including Warped Tour, the Deconstruction Tour, and the 5â¯Dollar Tour-the group disbanded on Septemberâ¯29,â¯2003. The Movielife reunited in Decemberâ¯2014, performing at Irvingâ¯Plaza in Februaryâ¯2015 and releasing the single "Futureâ¯Feelingâ¯(Afraidâ¯ofâ¯Drugs)" in 2016. Their fourth studio album, Citiesâ¯inâ¯Searchâ¯ofâ¯aâ¯Heart, was issued by Rise Records in Septemberâ¯2017. Subsequent tours included the 2018 Sick Tour with Newâ¯Foundâ¯Glory and performances at Slam Dunk Festival. The bandâs catalog has maintained a presence on the Billboard charts.
