Biography

The Movielife formed in Long Island, New York, in 1997 and comprises vocalist Vinnie Caruana, guitarist Brandon Reilly, and drummer Brett Romnes, among early members. Their debut demo, Red Demo, attracted Fadeaway Records, leading to the release of It’s Go Time in September 1999, followed by the single "Self‑Destruct". In 2000, the band released This Time Next Year through Revelation Records, and the EP Has A Gambling Problem appeared in November 2001. The 2003 album Forty Hour Train Back To Penn peaked at number 164 on the Billboard 200. After extensive touring-including Warped Tour, the Deconstruction Tour, and the 5 Dollar Tour-the group disbanded on September 29, 2003. The Movielife reunited in December 2014, performing at Irving Plaza in February 2015 and releasing the single "Future Feeling (Afraid of Drugs)" in 2016. Their fourth studio album, Cities in Search of a Heart, was issued by Rise Records in September 2017. Subsequent tours included the 2018 Sick Tour with New Found Glory and performances at Slam Dunk Festival. The band’s catalog has maintained a presence on the Billboard charts.
