Novaspace is a German Eurodance and dance-pop project that was initiated in Berlin in 2002 by music producer Felix J. Gauder. The line-up initially consisted of Felix Gauder as producer and Jessica Boehrs as vocalist; after her departure in 2007, Jenny Marsala joined as vocalist with the addition of Novaspace - Next Generation. Novaspace is not a classic band line-up with traditional members, but a producer project with changing female vocalists. From 2002 onwards, Novaspace released several successful singles, which made it into the charts, particularly in German-speaking countries. The debut single "Time After Time" (2002), a cover version of Cyndi Lauper's hit from the 1980s, reaches top 10 positions in Germany and Austria as well as chart positions in Australia and the UK. Other well-known singles are "Guardian Angel" (2002) and "Beds Are Burning" (2004), a cover version of the song by Midnight Oil, which becomes one of the project's biggest chart successes. In 2003, the debut album Supernova is released (number 28 in Germany, number 39 in Austria), which combines the early singles and dance covers. This is followed in 2004 by the second album Cubes (number 27 in Germany, number 24 in Austria) with further cover singles such as "So Lonely" and "Dancing with Tears in My Eyes". In 2006, Novaspace released the remix album DJ Edition with a compilation of previous hits in a new form, including the single "All Through the Night". After the change to Jenny Marsala as singer in 2008, further singles such as "Dancing into Danger" (2009), "Time After Time - Rebirth" (2009), "Love Changes Everything" (2009), "Close Your Eyes" (2010) and "Don't Look Back" (2011) were released, but these did not follow on from the earlier chart successes. Novaspace disbanded in 2011.
