In 1990, they signed with Coconut Records and released their debut single "Nothing Compares 2 U" — a cover of Prince’s song that reached number 16 in the German Single-Charts. Following this success, Chyp-Notic continued to release music with notable singles like "I Can't Have U", "Still In Love With You", and "When I Dream". Their breakthrough album Nothing Compares was released in 1990. In 1992, they produced their second album I Can't Get Enough. After a string of hits including "I Do It All For You, Baby" and "Don’t Break the Heart", featuring Greg Ellis, the group disbanded in 1994.
