Nosferatu, a British rock band formed in March 1988 by guitarist Damien DeVille, drummer Vlad Janicek, and singer Sapphire Aurora. The group initially struggled to gain traction but began performing successfully in London with new vocalist Gary Clarke in 1990. After Clarke's departure, Nosferatu recruited Louis DeWray for their debut EP The Hellhound, which garnered positive reviews. In 1993, the band signed to Cleopatra Records and released their first studio album Rise. The single "Inside the Devil" reached Number 131 on the UK charts. Despite lineup changes, Nosferatu continued to release albums such as Legend (1994) and The Prophecy (1994), achieving notable success with the latter reaching Number 14 on the independent charts. The band's subsequent albums included Prince of Darkness (1996) and Lord of the Flies (1998). In 2011, they released their final album Wonderland, dedicated to actress Ingrid Pitt.
