Biography

Monica Lisa Stevenson, born Monica Felicia Bowen on April 21, 1967, in Wetumpka, Alabama, is an American gospel musician. She began her music career in 2009 with the release of Finally...in God's Time through her own label, Monicazmuzik, on March 30, 2009. This debut album earned Stevenson nominations at the 2009 Stellar Awards for Best New Artist and Traditional Female Vocalist of the Year. Her subsequent album, Live in Atlanta, released on May 14, 2013, by Central South Records, marked her breakthrough onto two Billboard magazine charts: Gospel Albums at number 14 and Heatseekers Albums at number 25. Stevenson is also a member of the Gospel Music Workshop of America.
