Biography

Crystal Renee Aikin, born September 21, 1974 in Tacoma, Washington, is an American singer. She began her musical journey as a child singing in the Sunshine Band at Altheimer Memorial Church of God in Christ and later joined local groups like Heaven Sent Us and Soul (Hendrix/Trinity Records). Aikin's breakthrough came when she won the first season of Sunday Best in 2007, securing a recording contract with Zomba Gospel Music. Her debut album, Crystal Aikin, was released on January 13, 2009 through Verity Records and featured contributions from producers like PAJAM and Gerald Haddon. In 2010, she was nominated for a GMA Dove Award for New Artist of the Year at the 41st GMA Dove Awards. Aikin's notable singles include "I Desire More" (2008) and "Silent Night" (2011). She also released an EP titled All I Need in February 2015 through RCA Records. In 2025, the single "He Can Handle It" was ranked number 14 in Gospel Songs and number one in Gospel Airplay charts.
