Benjamin Thomas Jacobs, known as Max Tundra, was born on June 7, 1974, in Camberwell, London. He is a British multi-instrumental musician and producer known for his maximalist approach to electronic music. Max Tundra's breakthrough came when Warp Records released his single "Children at Play" in 1998, after which he released his debut album, Some Best Friend You Turned Out To Be, via Domino Records in 2000. His subsequent albums include Mastered By Guy At The Exchange (2002), which featured vocals for the first time and was named number 12 on Pitchfork Media's list of top 50 albums of 2002.
