Biography

Laura Imbruglia, born on June 15, 1983, in Sydney, Australia, is a singer and songwriter known for her work in alternative rock. She began playing guitar at 14 and started performing live at 18. Her breakthrough came with the release of her first EP It Makes a Crunchy Noise in September 2003, followed by a tour with Canadian duo Tegan and Sara. Imbruglia's debut album Laura Imbruglia, released in October 2006, featured the hit video "Looking for a Rabbit," which was voted clip number two of the year on Triple J TV in 2007. She toured extensively in Australia and Europe from 2007 to 2008. Her second album, The Lighter Side Of..., was released in April 2010. In 2013, Imbruglia ventured into country music with the album What a Treat. Her fourth album, Scared of You, was released in March 2019.
