Simon Philip Bonney, born in 1961 in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia, is an Australian country rock musician and singer-songwriter. In late 1977, he formed Crime & the City Solution as a post-punk group, serving as their mainstay through various lineups. They released four studio albums: Room of Lights in 1986, Shine in 1988, The Bride Ship in 1989, and Paradise Discotheque in 1990. In the early 1990s, Bonney relocated to Los Angeles with his partner Bronwyn Adams. He released the solo albums Forever in 1992 and Everyman in 1995. Crime & the City Solution reformed in 2012, releasing the album American Twilight in 2013. He released the compilation album Past, Present, Future in 2019.
