Biography

Hailing from Glasgow, Scotland, The Joy Hotel is a seven-piece band. Formed in 2010 after songwriters, guitarists and singers Luke Boyce and Emme Woods met, the band has since grown to include Jack Boyce (drums), Jack Borrill (bass), Jenny Clifford (guitar, vocals), Juan Laforet (keyboards, guitar, vocals) and Scott Flanagan (acoustic guitar, vocals). They built up a solid reputation with sold-out gigs in their hometown, before touring the UK and Europe. Their debut album, Ceremony, released in July 2024, was recorded live and blends pop compositions with psychedelic, country and noise-rock influences, all sublimated by rich vocal harmonies.
