Jess Williamson, born in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas, is an American singer-songwriter known for her work in US alternative country and folk. She began playing music while a student at the University of Texas at Austin and released her debut EP Medicine Wheel/Death Songs in 2011. Her first two albums, Native State (2014) and Heart Song (2016), were released on her own imprint, Brutal Honest. After moving to Los Angeles, Williamson signed with Mexican Summer and released Cosmic Wink in 2018. Her subsequent album, Sorceress, was released in May 2020 and received critical acclaim. In June 2020, she released the single "Pictures of Flowers." Williamson also collaborated with Katie Crutchfield of Waxahatchee on the project Plains, releasing their debut album I Walked with You a Ways in October 2022. Her most recent solo album, Time Ainât Accidental, was released in June 2023.
