Biography

Canadian songwriter, musician and performer Cameron Whitcomb was born in Peace River, Alberta, on March 20, 2003. He left home at seventeen to work on a pipeline and sing in a karaoke club on weekends. It was through a video posted on the Internet that he was noticed by an agent who decided to take charge of his career. His first independent track, "Shoot Me Dead", was released in 2023, followed by "The Devil I've Seen", "Rocking Chair" and "Love Myself", his first charted track, at #37 in New Zealand. The Quitter EP, released in September 2024, includes the track of the same name, which reaches No. 33 in Canada. March 2025 sees the release of the Options EP, which includes the title track (no. 71) and "Medusa", which reaches no. 63 in Canada, no. 5 in the Netherlands and no. 29 on the US Hot Rock & Alternative Songs chart. A month later, "Bad Apple" reached no. 26 in New Zealand and no. 29 on the US Alternative Airplay chart. Moving from alternative country to folk-rock, from acoustic ballads to powerful arrangements, Cameron Whitcomb released his debut album The Hard Way in September 2025, reaching #24 in Canada and #46 in Australia. The title track is taken from this album, which reaches number 35 in New Zealand.
