Fetchin Bones was an American genre-blending band from North Carolina that was active between 1983 and 1990. The group included Hope Nicholls on vocals, Danna Pentes, Aaron Pitkin, Marc Mueller, Gary White, Clay Richardson, and Errol Stewart. Their career began with the release of their debut album, Cabin Flounder, in 1985. Subsequent albums include Bad Pumpkin (1986), Galaxy 500 (1987), and Monster (1989). The band was known for their live performances, supporting acts such as R.E.M., The B-52s, X, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers. Their musical style blended blues, punk, and country music. Notable singles include "Super Freak" (1988) and "Love Crushing" (1989), the latter peaking at number 19 on Modern Rock Tracks.
