Jacky Jasper, born Sean Merrick in Toronto, is a rapper known for his distinct G-funk sound. In 1991, as Toronto rapper HDV, he contributed to the Can't Repress the Cause Movement. In 1993, he released Higher Deeper Values through ISBA Records/Sony Records. In 1996, after being recruited by Eric B., he moved to the United States and reinvented himself as H-Bomb, releasing Narcissism in 1998 which featured "Playaz Need No Love" with Roger Troutman that charted on Billboard's Hot Rap Tracks. In 2002, under the name Jacky Jasper, he released Keep My Shit Clean, peaking at number 60 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart and number 24 on the Independent Albums chart. Notable collaborations include work with Ice T, Kool Keith, Chino XL, Esham, Trigger Tha Gambler, Rick James, Snoop Dogg, Kurupt, and others.
