Sabrina Johnston, born Sabrina Johnston on December 31, 1969, in the United States, is an American singer known for her contributions to rap music. She attended summer music camps and took dance and voice classes before enrolling at Cheyney State University as a music major. Johnston's breakthrough came with the release of her debut single "Peace" in May 1991 on JBR Records, which reached Number 10 in the UK Singles Chart. Her debut album, Peace, followed in 1992, featuring the hit single of the same name and additional tracks such as "Friendship" and "I Wanna Sing". In support of the AIDS epidemic, Johnston contributed an original track, "Peace (Nu-Mix)", to the Red Hot Organization's dance compilation album Red Hot + Dance. Her second album, Sabrina, was released in Japan only in 1996 and re-titled Yum Yum for its US release in 1998. Johnston also made an appearance as a backing vocalist on Lauryn Hill's "To Zion", from the 1998 album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill. Additionally, Johnston released an EP titled I Wanna Sing in 1992, which included notable tracks that further established her presence in the music scene.
