Biography

Hot Club De Paris, an English band from Liverpool, was formed in 2004. The group consisted of three members who had previously played in various bands around Liverpool. Their breakthrough came after signing with Moshi Moshi Records in 2005, following their formation when Smith and Rafferty met at a racetrack in Chester the previous year. Their debut album Drop It 'Till It Pops was released in 2006, featuring notable singles such as "Sometimesitsbetternottostickbitsofeachotherineachotherforeachother" and "Everyeveryeverything". The band supported their debut with extensive touring and gained significant airplay in the UK. In 2007, they embarked on international tours as opening acts for Maxïmo Park and The Who. Their second album, Live at Dead Lake, was released in 2008, despite its title not being a live recording. They have been inactive since 2012.
