Biography

Dalek I Love You, an English synthpop group from Wirral, formed in December 1977 by David Balfe, Alan Gill, and Dave Hughes. Influenced by Kraftwerk, they released their first single "Freedom Fighters" in 1979 under the shortened name Dalek I due to a decision by Phonogram Records. Their debut album Compass Kum'pas was released in 1980. By this time, he was the sole remaining member. The band reformed in 1981 and released their album Dalek I Love You in November 1983. They disbanded after releasing the cassette-only album Naive in 1985.
