Biography

Yourcodenameis:milo was formed in 2002 in Washington, Tyne and Wear, United Kingdom, by vocalist and guitarist Paul Mullen, guitarist Adam Hiles, guitarist Justin Lockey, bassist Ross Harley, and drummer Paul Gamble‑Beresford. The group began gaining attention with the single "Rapt. Dept." in 2005, which helped secure a contract with Fiction/Polydor Records. Their debut mini‑album All Roads To Fault (2004) was recorded by Steve Albini and introduced their experimental post‑hardcore style, followed by the full‑length Ignoto (2005) that deepened their critical profile. In 2006, the band left Polydor and signed with V2 Records, releasing the collaborative side‑project Print Is Dead Vol. 1 (2006) featuring artists such as Tom Vek and Bloc Party. The second full‑length album, They Came From The Sun, was issued on 2 April 2007, accompanied by singles "Understand" and "I'm Impressed". After extensive touring across the UK and Europe, the band entered an indefinite hiatus on 21 August 2007 before reforming in 2020.
