Biography

Homayoun Shajarian, born on May 21, 1975 in Tehran, Iran as همایون شجریان, is an Iranian singer and musician. He began his musical journey with a strong foundation in traditional Persian music, influenced by his father, the renowned vocalist Mohammad Reza Shajarian. From 1991, he accompanied his father on international tours, initially playing the tombak and later singing from 1999. His solo albums include Gheyzhak-e Koli (2008), Khorshid-e Arezoe (2008), and Bi man maro (2012). Shajarian has collaborated multiple times with the Dastan Ensemble, performing and promoting traditional Persian music. His contributions have earned him recognition both in Iran and internationally.
