Biography

Ford & Lopatin was an American electronic music duo formed by Daniel Lopatin and Joel Ford that was active between 2009 and 2011. The duo met in sixth grade and began collaborating on electronic music during their high school years under the name Polyphonic. After a brief hiatus, they reunited in 2009 to form Games, releasing a series of chopped and screwed mixtapes titled Heaven Can Wait in 2010. Their debut EP, That We Can Play, was released later that year on Hippos in Tanks. In 2011, they changed their name to Ford & Lopatin and released their first full-length album, Channel Pressure. The album was recorded at Jan Hammer's studio and featured a blend of synthpop, krautrock, and progressive fusion elements. Notable singles from this period include "World Of Regret" and "I Surrender".
