Biography

Darren Williams, known professionally as Star Slinger, is an electronic music producer and DJ from England. Born in 1986, he studied music technology at Leeds Metropolitan University. Star Slinger first gained attention with the self-released beat tape Volume 1 in summer 2010, which garnered notable press interest, including an interview with Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1. Following this, he collaborated with various artists, including James Vincent McMorrow and Kilo Kish. He has remixed tracks for Jessie Ware and Childish Gambino. In 2012, Star Slinger was selected by ASAP Rocky to open all shows on his European Tour. He co-wrote and produced Kilo Kish's "Goldmine", which featured in the Sundance Film Festival Award-winning film Dear White People. His notable tracks include "Ladies in the Back" (2012) featuring Teki Latex and "Precious Kinda Stone" (2025).
