Flesh Field is an American electronic and industrial band from Columbus, Ohio, that formed in 1996. The ensemble was founded by Ian Ross and initially featured the vocalist Rian Miller, who was replaced by Wendy Yanko in 2004. Their debut studio album, Viral Extinction (1999), reached number 18 on the US CMJ RPM charts and number 31 on the German Alternative Charts (DAC). The groupâs discography includes the EP Redemption (2000), which reached number 12 on the CMJ charts, and the studio recording Strain (2004), which reached number 4 on the DAC. After announcing a retirement in 2011, the ensemble resumed activity in 2023 and released the studio recordings Voice of the Echo Chamber (2023) and Voice of Reason (2024). Their track âBeneath Contemptâ (2004) was featured in the television series True Blood, and the song âUprisingâ (2004) appeared in the film The Mill. Their later work includes the studio recording On Enmity (2026).
